VALLANCE POTTERY CLINTON Formerly called Crafts With Class we opened in 1990. Hoping to fill a need for a gift/craft store in a small town, fresh flowers and coffee filled the air.
Along came Bruce Vallance. He needed to go back to his roots, Victoria B.C. and into our store came pottery. With the pottery, came a larger store for us. We have filled the 1920’s building with everything from Hallmark and Leaning Tree Cards to Lotions and handmade Bath Salts, handmade Quilts to hand Knit Socks, Candles and loose Specialty Teas.
Of course VALLANCE POTTERY takes up the largest part of the Store. Bruce Vallance has been handcrafting pottery since he was a child and is good at what he does. With a degree from U of Vic, and a few years of teaching the pottery has become functional art. Which makes it easy for us to sell a great quality handmade ceramic dinnerware or a really great, one of a kind piece to admire or use everyday. David his son now works with Bruce also his partner Myrna.
My family has been very supportive of my 18 years in business, with 4 sons they don’t do a lot of behind the counter stuff but hauling pottery with Dad is great. Scott my husband, has made a lot of trips to Victoria and its been a challenge, there is some great fishing to be done and great friends to visit while there.
When traveling in B.C. stop by Historic Clinton and check us out or call to check our hours and make shipping arrangements.
